米アマゾンでは MP3 のアルバムがあるのに，CD にはそこそこの値段が付いている。日アマゾンでは MP3 としては登録されておらず，日米で MP3 の扱いが異なっているのはなぜだろう・・・？

１９４２年，Houston, Texas で生まれ，B.B. King や Bobby Bland にあこがれてミュージシャンを志し，ピアノのレッスンを始めて Houston のローカルなミュージック・シーンで頭角を現すようになり，Bobby Bland の producer, arranger and mentor であった Joe Scott の教えを受けて，実際に Bobby Bland のセッションに参加したこともあったらしい。

ソロ・デビューする以前のセッション・ミュージシャン時代，伝説的な disc jockey だった Magnificent Montague の元でレコーディングを行っている。
Magnificent Montague は '70 年代の初めに，Sam Cooke の Keen 時代の音源にキーボードをダビングしたアルバムをアレンジしているのだが，ひょっとすると，そのアルバムでキーボードを演奏していたのは，Leon Haywood だった・・・？
